Chardonnay "Two Brothers" 2019

Bright, medium straw-yellow, slightly lighter edged. The nose is elegant, with moderate intensity aromas of toasted almonds, popcorn and an amalgam of spices, melded with a stonefruit, citrus undertone. Medium-full bodied, bone-dry to taste; salivating aromas of lemon, grapefruit and a hint of peach, entwined with cream, barrel spices and caramel, reflective of toasty nuts and popcorn. The fruit has a citrus core and concentration, enriched by layers of barrel elements; spices added interest and texture. The palate possesses a creamy texture, underlined by a subtle chalky line. This is a cool-climate Chardonnay build on citrus and chalky mineral with integrated barrel details. Match with almond-crusted fish and Pecorino pesto pasta over the next 5+ years.
